days of birth!

Zog's candidness turned into a day of amazing-ness. Thanks for the poems. They are now public. I love birthdays for this reason! The email chain of Sept 29th..

Zog's

On this day a beautiful girl was born
And at Anita, we see her every morn
With a cheerful smile and big ol boobs
She's serving, kind, and quite a hoot!
A wonderful friend in every way
We're lucky to know her on this special day!
---------------
NGJ's

We know her we love her,
She brings us such glee,
So lets raise a glass,
and toast our lovely Abbbeee!

I am drinking coffee right now. so I'll raise that glass : )
--------

LC's
She rescues little kids all day,
but at night isn't afraid to play.
She takes pictures and blogs what's on her mind,
she's super fine and has a nice be-hind.
She was born on this very day,
so, to that I say, "HAPPY FRIGGIN' BIRTHDAY!"
----------
LB's

abby, abby, abby
she aint shabby
she's real fun and nice
and likes to eat a slice
of pizza and we love her
and are thankful to her mother.
--------
Mel's

Oh Abby Lynn
You make us grin,
From coast to coast,
we love to boast,
your fantastic legs,
your advice of sage,
your volumtuous boobs,
your perky attitude,
we love you, we love you,
so much I could boo hoo.
you help us all mend,
Happy Brithday dear friend.
---------

LC's
Not to interrupt all the poems...but, I just want to clarify, that yes, I may brag from coast-to-coast that Abby L. DeCicco is my friend, I never brag about her boobs

---------
Mel's

LC, You would ruin such a good thing.
Abby, I brag of our boobs everywhere I go. :)
HAPPY Birthday, everyone, please continue with the festive poems before we were so RUDELY interupted.
-------
Woods'

Abby Decicco we toast you today
You make our lives better, preventing decay
With curly brown hair and italian nariz
And curves all around you're one hell of a piece
You say it like it is, you never betray
Abby Decicco we toast you today.

Abby Decicco we toast you today
Like faithful Old Yeller you never will stray
In Spain or Geneva wherever I go
I know you'll be waiting, like a good little hoe
Although you like the band, the Fray
Abby DeCicco, we toast you today.

Abby DeCicco we toast you today
We would have late fees on our bills if you didn't pay
Matron of Anita, oh what would we do
Life would suck big time if we didn't have you
When I am sad you know what to say
So Abby DeCicco we toast you today

Abby DeCicco we toast you today
One day a guy who is smart will say
"I swear you're the best thing I've seen on this planet"
Your sex appeal is so hot, they should ban it
I can't wait to hear about when you get laid
Until then, Ms DeCicco we toast you today.

Abby DeCicco we toast you today
I miss good ol' college, when we could just play
I'm here in the library, writing my segment
And thanking Dear Jesus that I am not pregnant
Before I go to class, I'll shout HIP HIP HOORAY
That your mother gave birth, so we TOAST YOU TODAY!!!!!

::: reprieve :::

yesterday, {friday} was a perfect day. it was a reprieve from the past year and a half. everything about it was so happy! the morning chill had me thinking of my childhood and family. the smell of the coolness reminded me of christmas to come and the season i love. i felt carefree walking to starbucks, thanking the Lord for this reprieve.

scott and i got to spend a wonderful morning with his mom {shopping} which is always fun. she bought me this adorable shirt among other things. thank you mrs. schardt!

after we took max to get his shots {in plano} i showed scott the house i have lived in the longest. {5 years} grades 1-5. it is my favorite house by far because i have so many memories of growing up in that house. here it is. on the way home, we had the sunroof open and listened to dashboard all the way home. dashboard reminds us both of college and being so infactuated with each other. we {always} listened to dashboard while driving around in college.

for dinner, we got dressed up and went to tillman's roadhouse, where we sat on the patio. we enjoyed the cool evening and talked about our future. its fun to dream with the one you love. yesterday was wonderful! {and today isn't too shabby}.

::: the girls from ames :::

My friend LC recommended this book. Because she once gave me a great book for my birthday, I decided to take her advice. I started reading it 2 days ago and have already read almost half (and no, its not because I'm unemployed). I teared up when reading the first few pages as it spoke of the girls life-long bond, from birth to their present age of 40. Brittany, you should borrow it after I'm done, my cheesy cheese friend :)

the september issue.

i really enjoyed this movie, i would recommend it!
i think my taste in reading/movies is changing. i have really been enjoying reading about other people's real lives. biographies, memoirs. this movie catered to that pleasure for me. seeing the realness of their lives and their work.

oh.my.goodness.

For Woods

[Lago Maggiore, Italy/2009]

Trading Texas for Colorado

I am in Tori's room, studying [sorta, sorta]. She is packing. For what? Colorado. The great state of Colorado, that I've always wanted to venture to. She's not going on vacation. She is moving.

She's moving to Denver Thursday...I couldn't be more jealous. The summer breeze and chill winters are very enticing. I love the winter and summer sports. I love how beautiful it is.

Anyways, she's leaving [me]. It's sad. Laurel's leaving [me] for Oman, too. Life is changing. Fast. I love where their path is taking them, but it is very bittersweet. Tori will be counseling the masses of Denver and they are lucky to have her. I hope to find myself in Colorado when I graduate December 2010. This picture is her in Ireland/Summer 2009. Lil cutie!

I miss you already, TT.

the break-in

I CANT BELIEVE SOMEONE KICKED IN OUR DOOR IN BROAD DAYLIGHT.
I CANT BELIEVE MY iMAC IS G-O-N-E.
I CANT BELIEVE MY TUMI IS G-O-N-E.
I CANT BELIEVE MY D50 IS G-O-N-E.
I CANT BELIEVE MY RING/JEWELRY IS G-O-N-E.

among WOODS' IPOD, CAMERA. ZOG'S LAPTOP, AND GMA'S ENGAGEMENT RING.

WHO WOULD DO THIS? AND WHY?

I don't feel as if my heart or mind were set on materialistic things. Everything but my computer was a gift from my parents, therefore I don't exactly have the cash to dish it all out for a 'new' anything. I'm okay with someone's old computer. I really do want a new camera, but am willing to save over time, and to not dish out my savings. I really don't care for fancy luggage, but it sure was nice having a Tumi.

Anyways, I'd like my few hours of sleep back from last night.
Also, I'd like all of my things back.
My safety. And a piece of mind.

Your fellow M-street resident,
Abby

thankful

its been 4 weeks since we have blogged, so I thought i'd post...

i am thankful for my life this morning. for quite some time i have been desiring time. free time where i can relax. To not have to get up and go to work everyday, continue on to a busy weekend and then start a new week all over. time to wake up and do whatever i want; read, drink coffee, go on a walk, call a far away friend, watch good morning america all the way through. and i have done just that, this morning.

i am not sure how long this 'restful' season will last, but i am very thankful for it now.

p.s. our blog is not aesthetically pleasing to me, but i can't find an image i like for the top. i also do not wish to spend time finding one...oh dear.
