Advent

I did not grow up celebrating Advent. I have, however, always had a special interest in the church traditions even though I did not practice them. So, this year, Scott and I are partaking in the Advent season, each day. I am blessed that my boyfriend did grow up and learn such traditions, it is so attractive to me.

We have started reading the devotional our church provided and I really love this sentiment/reason/thought on Advent:

In His coming is our joy, for He is our treasure, our greatest good.

I said this last year, but if I could take off for about 6 weeks, starting the week before Thanksgiving, I could make myself very busy with holiday decor, baking, parties and presents!
