i think the squirrels are getting smarter.
do you agree?

i feel like the squirrels used to dart out in front of you, then stop in the middle of the road only to dart back across the street towards the same way they came from. inevitably, this would end in a flat squirrel with its tail blowing in the wind.

but lately, i have been seeing smarter squirrels on the road. squirrels that go all the way across, and have good timing. this morning i actually saw a squirrel weave in-between cars as to not get hit. and he made it!

i am proud of the next squirrel generation. go squirrels go!

sushi on mckinney ::: soft opening

last night, amy, ashley and i had the great privilege of eating at sushi on mckinney, for their soft opening. the sushi was complimentary, but the best part was the company. all of the old wait staff was there and were so happy to see all of their usual customers again. it was such a great feeling, being a part of something smaller, here in dallas. we had a great time!

here is the email i received from sushi on mckinney in regards to the soft opening dinner. My favorite part is that they signed it "sushi team".

scott took me on a "european date" this past friday night after work. he read my blog below about needing some europe in our lives, and treated me to tapas, sparkling sangria and an evening at the museum.

the picture included is of an exhibit we really enjoyed. all of the squares were covered in different materials, textures, and colors where kids and adults alike could write how the square made them feel on a post it note and stick it to the wall. we thought it was cool, and i thought scott was cool for taking me on a fun date!

the ramsey's started a blog!

::: italy :::

this is a picture of the piazza we always hung out at when i studied abroad in castiglion fiorentino, the summer after my sophomore year. it had 3 huge arches at the center of its square, where you could sit and read, eat gelato or just stare out into the beauty of italy. i have travel fever and wish scott and i could be there now. abby is going to italy at the end of may. i will have to live vicariously through her...
