thanks mel!

last night...mel and i went to the gym.

i told her i was going to TRY to run a mile.

she so graciously came over to the treadmill with me and ran next to me, to try and keep me going.

she basically just talked to me the whole time, to try and get my mind off of running.

because after 2 minutes and 40 seconds i was NOT having fun.

 

but i did it!

all thanks to mel.

my cheeks were realllly red and i was sweating a lot  :)

Hawaii

This day, last year, Lindsay and I were in Hawaii.
Tomorrow, we would be getting on our flight.
O wait, late tonight we would have...

Currently, I'm looking at a desk, covered in cases...
And not white sand, clear crisp water or bronze skin.

the 22nd is my least favorite date.

i miss talking to my mom and hearing her voice.

she was so goofy and always had so much to say.

she was so good at encouraging me and loving me.

i miss her terribly.

first of all, i just love the word doilie. 

mel and i just had lunch and i was so happy when she used the word doilie! 

doilies remind me of my mom. 

remember in the early 90's when doilies were cool to use on dessert platters or even to wear on the collar of your dress! doilie is one of the best words in the english dictionary.

my sweet friend, kelley lynn, whom my heart is so blessed to know, sent me a CD in the mail!

i just wanted to say thank you to her. thank you for loving me so well and thank you for knowing that music helps me see jesus better. so far (because of your recommendation on the card) i have only listened to number 1 and 4 over and over again. (i promise i will listen to them all  :)) this morning as i drove into work, i wept as the song told me to hold on, continue hoping and that heartache can make you stronger.

abbys bedtime jamz.

you might think it odd, but i often sleep in abby's room. you might not know, but my room is the only one downstairs. sometimes i just get a little lonley down there, ya know? i also love the late night talk as we fall asleep. its priceless.
